We have an exciting opportunity to work in our dynamic communications team in a new role of Strategic Communications Lead.

Our team is looking for a highly skilled communications professional to help our staff and student communities shape and engage with key projects which will help implement our new University strategy.

We are looking for someone who combines passion and creativity with an eye for detail and ability to plan. You will have a proven track record in delivering effective internal communications within large, complex organisations. You will be providing project teams with expert communications advice and with your experience of planning, delivering, and evaluating communications, enabling projects to realise their intended benefits.

Our ideal applicant will need to have excellent communications skills, both written and verbal, and sound editorial experience. You will be naturally curious with an interest in continually evaluating and improving the services you offer.

This role is available on a full time, fixed term basis of up to 12 months. The planned interview date for this vacancy is 12 November and we’re looking for a candidate that can start reasonably quickly, following reference checks.

As a Communications Department we help to deliver the University's strategy through external and internal engagement. Our teams work on promoting the University's high impact research, education and innovation to key audiences across media and social media channels, as well as engaging our staff and students effectively with key developments and news.
