Mail Services Assistant

Join our friendly and supportive mail services team at University of Bath and receive £1,000 new starter bonus*.  Our Mail Services Assistant role is ideal for candidates who work well within a small team but who can also demonstrate initiative to enhance the customer experience.

About us:
 
The Role of the Mail Service Assistant is varied with responsibility for sorting, processing and the distribution of all incoming mail and parcels. You could be out and about on our Claverton Down campus making deliveries and collections or helping students through a customer focused counter service. Our student parcel collection centre is just one of the great services we providing to our resident students & we take great pride in providing a great student experience. Some IT experience is essential, as we process outgoing mail utilising modern Franking technology, and use modern tracking software & hardware to provide service excellence.  

 About you:

 
 The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:

  • Good organisational skills
  • Customer service experience
  • Flexibility
  • Good written and spoken communication
  • Basic level of computer literacy
  • UK drivers’ licence

A uniform, name badge plus all PPE appropriate to the tasks to be undertaken will be provided and must be worn.

The post is offered on a full-time permanent basis, working 36.5 hours per week. Hours are between 08:00hrs -18:45hrs on Monday to Fridays & 08:20 -12:30 on Saturdays.  As it is 5 days out of 6 rota (Monday to Saturday), some Saturday working is expected on a rota basis.

This role offers a Campus Services New Starter bonus*. In addition to the great benefits Campus Services’ offers, we can offer you a £1,000 bonus. This is payable the month after successfully passing your six months’ probation.
