Registry Systems Officer

Academic Registry

Salary:  Starting from £25,728, rising to £31,604
Placed On:  Wednesday 07 February 2018
Closing Date:  Tuesday 27 February 2018
Interview Date:  Friday 16 March 2018

We are looking for a Registry Systems Officer to join our Academic Registry team.

The University of Bath is one of the UK’s leading universities. The Academic Registry is a key, central professional service. Our operational services and academic policy work contribute significantly to University life and to the development of learning and teaching. Learn more about the Academic Registry.

Registry Systems Officers provide essential support for our student records services and systems. You will become proficient in using our student records database, customer relationship management software, and reporting tools. You will work in close collaboration with both administrators and systems developers.

This role balances technical development with user support, and is not a systems development role. We’re looking for someone who can translate user needs into technical specifications and back again. You should always have service and technical improvements in mind, whether you are training colleagues, writing guidance manuals, or supporting a strategic project.

You will recognise the priorities in your own independent work—and through excellent team-working, you’ll help junior colleagues to do the same. You should be comfortable learning, using, and developing our range of systems and processes and sharing this knowledge with colleagues across the University.

This is an exciting opportunity because of the varied nature of the projects you’ll be involved in, and the technical and communications experience you will gain. Your professional and technical development will be well-supported. You will use your existing strengths and develop new skills and expertise by being a key part of the work we do across the department.

If you’re looking for a new challenge with a supportive and hard-working team, we want to hear from you.

Interviews will take place in week commencing 12 March 2018.

For an informal discussion about the role, please contact James Arthur, Head of Registry Services [j.arthur@bath.ac.uk; 01225 38 3687].
