In the most recent phase of the department’s development we seek to appoint, amongst other posts, a full-time Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor in Education with a specialism in Applied Linguistics in Education. The person appointed will be an active researcher who will make a significant contribution to research and teaching capacity focused on the Language and Educational Practices research cluster (, conducting and publishing their own research, generating research income, and providing support and mentoring for less experienced colleagues.

The postholder’s responsibilities will include teaching on the full-time one year MA TESOL programme and supervising PhD students, as well as teaching courses and supervising theses on the EdD (Doctor of Education) programme. The post will take effect from 1 September 2018.
