The Skills Centre at the University of Bath is seeking to appoint a talented EAP (English for Academic Purposes) teacher or course director with the skills, experience and vision to lead and direct a summer Pre-sessional course on a fixed term contract until 28 September 2018. This supports the specialisms and requirements of the University of Bath’s postgraduate degree programmes. The post-holder will also support the Academic Skills Programme, which delivers language development, academic literacy and other academic skills to home and international students at all levels (undergraduate (UG), postgraduate taught (PGT) and doctoral) across the University.

In addition to the main duties, the post-holder will work with other Course Leaders on the Academic Skills Programme contributing to teaching, assessment and/or lesson observations.

You will need an appropriate level of qualification, together with the skills and experience necessary to lead a newly formed teaching team, dynamically manage the quality of teaching, learning and assessment on the course and evaluate all aspects of the course on its completion.
