The University of Bath Hospitality department in the ahs provides catering to students, staff and external customers throughout the academic year and during summer months. There are numerous outlets run by the Hospitality Department offering a wide range of food and drink options.

We are seeking to appoint an Assistant Hospitality Manager. This varied and exciting role has the responsibility of driving the business forward and shaping its future from marketing development to service standards and customer service delivery.

You will manage the front of house operations in your area ensuring that customer care and service standards are maintained to a high standard and ensure that procedures regarding financial control, Health and Safety, Licensing Law, are adhered to within University guidelines. You will also make use of sales trends to develop new promotional campaigns with our bespoke marketing team.

You will have previous management experience in a high volume front of house operation and will be used to working with a busy and varied array of tasks. You will have great communication skills and be able to motivate your team to achieve high standards. You will have experience in providing training and of managing functions and events. Previous experience in finance, budgetary and variance reporting is desirable, however full training will be provided.

This role is offered on a full time (36.5 hours per week) working early morning, evening and weekends over a 5 days out of 7 rota. This opportunity is offered on a fixed term basis which is expected to end in June 2020.
