The University of Bath’s Hospitality department within ahs isn't just about student catering. As well as catering to students, we host large conferences and banquets. Our customers are as diverse as our food. We have multiple outlets on campus and expanding. Our staff are key to the success of our thriving Hospitality business and we currently have part-time (15 hour) vacancies for weekend Food & Beverage Assistants.

You will be required to ensure that the day-to-day running of the catering operation is smooth and that customers are provided with a high standard of service at all times. Your responsibilities will include taking customer orders, serving food and drink, working on the tills, stocking food stations and assisting with cleaning and clearing tables and catering areas. Delivering excellent customer service is at the heart of everything we do and you should have experience of this in a customer focused environment. Previous experience of working in the Hospitality industry would be an advantage but all candidates will be considered. You should be a good team worker and be able to be calm and professional in high pressure situations, as it can be extremely busy during peak times.

The role includes early morning, evening, and weekend working on a 2 out of 7 days per week contract (15 hours per week). Usual shifts include 8:00 to 16:00 or 10:00 to 18:00. There will be occasions when these shifts could start, and finish, later depending upon events booked of which you will be paid accordingly.

You will be expected to attend mandatory training on weekdays; there is flexibility on the dates as there is usually more than one session to choose from. 

You may be asked to work non-compulsory extra days to cover special events such as Open Days.
