The University of Bath is seeking to appoint a number of Transport Marshals to aid in the efficient running of the UniBus service, providing excellent customer service to students, staff, visitors and the city of Bath populace.

The bus service operated from the Claverton campus is very important for the University, and we have invested heavily in the infrastructure. Over 50% of all staff and students arrive at the University by bus and during term time there are over 12,000 passenger trips/day.

The University of Bath is seeking two Transport Marshals to act as customer ambassadors to ensure that all passengers leaving from campus at busy times are able to begin their journey quickly by providing information, ensuring all passengers get on with the correct ticket ready for inspection and directing those without tickets to the ticket booth.

Applicants should be happy to work with students, staff, visitors and the city of Bath populace understanding that they are your customer, including late at night. Therefore applicants should be friendly, helpful and keen to build effective working relationships.

By joining the University of Bath team you will enjoy a range of fantastic benefits, including:

  • 36 days holiday per year (pro-rata)
  • On-site parking at reasonable cost.
  • A competitive rate of pay
  • A generous pension scheme
  • Access to our world-class sports village
  • The chance to develop, with many training courses
  • Tax and national insurance savings through salary exchange schemes on nursery care and childcare vouchers.

These posts are being recruited on a full time (36.5 hour), 1 year fixed term basis. Below, you will find further details in the attached job description including description of duties, working hours, person specific criteria and the University of Bath effective behaviours framework.
