We are seeking to appoint a Research Events and Content Officer within the School of Management, University of Bath, a new, exciting role, working across two teams: the Research Office, and the Web and Marketing team. 

You will have responsibility for implementing the external face of our research communications. You will also organise and attend events organised in collaboration with our Research Centres at Bath, our London Pall Mall Office and sometimes further afield. You will work with research active members of staff to produce online content talking about the research taking place within the school.  This will involve curating the school blog and the creation of case studies, but also more creative mediums such as videos and podcasts. We particularly welcome applications from candidates with experience using social media and who would be keen to develop a strategy which will increase research promotion through this. We are looking for someone who will bring fresh and innovative ideas.  

You will work with a number of people in order to achieve our ambitious research and communications strategies, including members of staff within the Research Office, and School Web and Marketing Team.  You will need to form effective and collegiate working relationships with all of our Research Centre Directors and other academics, and will also need to work with the Press Office, Public Engagement Team, Central Communications Team and external event providers.  We will be looking for someone who can demonstrate experience working with a variety of people.

You will have experience communicating content to a variety of audiences, across a number of platforms. You will have experience writing for the web, with an ability to demonstrate an understanding for accessibility issues and best practice. We are looking for someone with a high level of competence with MS Office products, who is highly organised and able to manage a complex and competing demands.

This is a full time (36.5 hours per week), open-ended position.
