This is an exciting position at an International University based in a City, which is a World Heritage Site, for any applicant that is looking to help and support students and staff within a Higher Education setting. The position covers the main University campus and City campus buildings off site.

Together with the support of security and accommodation staff, the post holder is responsible for providing support to customers, ensuring a safe environment throughout both campus and City campus student accommodation and other University Buildings.

The role is strongly customer focused and you must demonstrate an ability to perform well within a team and also be able to demonstrate the use of initiative whilst working alone when dealing with emergencies, medical first aid response, alarm activation's and many other reported incidents.

The applicant is required to have excellent communication skills and be able to deal with a diverse International community, providing understanding, support and outstanding customer service.

You will be expected to be computer literate and able to operate a number of software packages both bespoke to the University as well as more general software, but training will be given as required.

The post holder must hold a full manual driving licence for manual motor cars and be First Aid At Work (FAAW) trained. However, FAAW training can be provided.

The basic working week is of 20 hours (Part-time). These hours will be worked on a rotating shift basis covering from 1800hr until midnight.  

The appointment will be made subject to an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) clearance being obtained.
