The University of Bath School of Management is seeking a full-time Postdoctoral Research Associate to join the Online Behaviour programme of CREST (Centre for Research Evidence on Security Threats).

The Online Behaviour programme combines expertise in cyber security, psychology and behavioural analytics to look at ways of understanding and countering threats on the Internet.

The research associate will join a team comprising academics from the School of Management and Department of Psychology, post-doctoral researchers on a range of externally funded projects, and PhD students.

In 2020/21 the School will move to a new building with a bespoke Behavioural Research Lab and secure data lab.

Currently, most of the research in the 'Online Behaviour' programme is focussed on predicting offline behaviour from online digital footprints. It is seeking to synthesise insights from work on groups and identity, computational social science and models of mobilisation to build and test models for the prediction of a range of behaviours, including violent acts.

The successful candidate will have a record of publishing in peer-reviewed journals, be able to work independently and collaboratively, have experience of quantitative data analysis and/or case study methods and excellent communication skills.

This is a ful time (36.5 / 1 FTE), fixed term contract to 30 September 2020 in the first instance.
