We are seeking a skilled and ambitious Technician to support work on a range of projects within our Psychology Department.  

Projects will involve supporting staff with the transition to online teaching, maintaining the labs and department research resources, supporting students in their use of our software and equipment, and assisting in widening participation events.

About you

You will have a good first degree or equivalent in Psychology or a relevant subject.  Experience offering training in a support role would be beneficial.

This is a demanding customer-facing role, which will often have multiple projects occurring simultaneously.  You will need to be able work concurrently on projects, manage your time effectively and be flexible in response to ad hoc emerging needs.

This is a part time (29.2 hours per week) maternity cover role on a fixed term contract of up to 12 months.  Applications for part-time and job sharing will be considered.

The Department of Psychology is based in a new £30M building, featuring 12 lab spaces (EEG, Crossmodal, BioPsych, Pain Labs, VR, BioPac, Eye Tracker, Developmental, Social, Testing Labs, CREATE,CAAR). You will have an opportunity to be learn about a range of equipment.
