We have an opportunity for you to ‘fast track’ your career into business by leading a high profile and strategically important project to a successful conclusion. You should be seeking a career which allows you to utilise your academic achievements in an industrial setting. By joining this exciting Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) between Oakwrights Ltd, and the Department of Architecture & Civil Engineering at the University of Bath you will have the opportunity to work with the leading oak frame manufacturer.  Oakwrights has been designing bespoke oak frame homes, garden buildings, garages and extensions to exacting specifications since 1999. They have become the lead oak frame manufacturer due to their ability to combine the best technology available to cut and design oak frames.

One of the strategic aims of the company is to build better, more sustainable houses that serve as aspirational to the market. This KTP will design a new generation of breathable (vapour permeable) prefabricated insulated panels to be used structurally to reduce oak framing usage, adapting the completed product to new fashion and trends that demand oak only in the main living spaces.
