The School of Management wish to appoint a Careers and External Engagement Officer to work as part of the School's MSc Careers Team, to enhance the employability of our MSc students.

About the role:

The duties of this busy and varied role will include engaging with external stakeholders to organise a range of assessed and extra-curricular activities and delivering employability focused workshops and one to ones to support students with the recruitment process in the UK and overseas. You will need to be able to communicate persuasively and tactfully with external contacts, alumni and students. 

Use of initiative, flexibility, a conscientious approach, the ability to learn quickly and to form effective working relationships in the School, the University as a whole, and with corporate contacts and other external contacts is essential. 

This is a full time, permanent role. Some flexibility is required to work at events outside hours. There may be the opportunity to travel to engage with international recruiters and alumni or to help at recruitment events.

About you:

A team-player but also able to work independently, you will have excellent communication, interpersonal, project management and organisational skills. Experience of working with students within a higher education environment and sensitivity to cultural differences is desirable.
