The University Hospitality department isn't just about student catering. We have  several outlets on campus all serving high quality food and drink options. As well as catering to students, we host large conferences and banquets. Our customers are as diverse as our food.

We currently have vacancies for full-time Food & Beverage Assistants.

In this role you will:

  • Provide our customers with exceptional service
  • Serve on tills and take customer orders
  • Stock our food stations
  • Ensure Front of House areas are tidy

Delivering excellent customer service is at the heart of everything we do. You will have experience of providing an excellent standard of customer service. Previous experience of working in the Hospitality industry would be an advantage but your personality is more important to us. You should be a good team worker and be able to be calm and professional in high pressure situations, as it can be extremely busy during peak times. We consider ourselves part of one big team across all of the outlets and there may be opportunities to work in different outlets to gain further experience or help out during peak periods. Therefore flexibility is important.  If you want to develop into a supervisory position, we'll do everything we can to help you achieve this. We believe in celebrating success and provide you with the training and support to reach your full potential.

We would be happy to discuss any flexible working arrangements with you at interview.

We offer a generous package of pay, benefits and services including:

• A competitive rate of pay

• A generous pension scheme

• Up to 25 days annual leave per year, eight banks holidays and five extra discretionary days

• Full and part time positions with no split shifts

• We close over the Christmas break but you’re still paid for this time off

• Regular awards for shining stars, from £20 Love2Shop vouchers up to annual awards of £750

• A commitment to the wellbeing of our teams, with mindfulness sessions, fitness boot camps and free health checks

• Great staff social events

• A staff suggestion scheme, with the chance to share your ideas and earn a £20 voucher

• The chance to develop, with many training courses and job shadowing opportunities

• Up to 20 hours a year personal development time for fitness classes, training, volunteering and charity work

• Tax and national insurance savings through salary exchange schemes on nursery care
