The Accommodation and Hospitality department (ahs) at the University of Bath are seeking a highly organised and computer competent individual, with customer facing experience, to join the Sales & Events team as an Events Coordinator.

The successful applicant will be responsible for promptly responding to customer enquiries of all kinds, with accurate sales information and up to date facility availability. They will be responsible for updating and maintaining information sharing with several internal stakeholder departments, as well as upholding and improving the local systems of work and procedures.

This individual will be required to effectively communicate with clients to thoroughly plan and host events on campus to the highest possible standard, as well as completing post-event administrative duties and seeking feedback and completing financial requirements. This process is largely computer based and a high level of computer competency is desired and will be tested at the interview stage.

The post-holder will be expected to maintain accreditation standards and good practice in line with University policies and procedures and contribute to high standards with which we operate and the culture which supports this.

This post is responsible to the Events & Quality Team Leader.

The Sales & Events team are responsible for all internal and external commercial business of which the majority take space during the Summer period. We welcome a wide variety of clients from a breadth of industries and sectors and operate to high standards regardless of the business source.

The ahs department is quality accredited by ISO 9001 which underpins the good practice by which we operate. The University is also currently holding a Silver Investors in People standard.
