Assistant Store Manager – Fresh Grocery Store

The University of Bath is looking to recruit an experienced Assistant Manager who possesses a leadership style that both inspires and brings out the best in others.

We are looking for someone who takes real pride in their performance as you will be supporting the store manager to motivate, engage and develop a team of supervisors and colleagues to maximize store performance.

Strong communication skills are essential, as is the ability to over-come work related challenges in a positive manner within a fast paced retail environment.

Maintaining a customer focused approach at all times you will ensure products and displays are merchandised at their best and that our product availability is strong. You will have the responsibility of deputizing for the Store Manager where needed and will be involved in every aspect of the stores operations ensuring that objectives are met and procedures are maintained.

This is an opportunity to work at a leading University within a large Southern Co-operative franchise store. The Fresh Grocery Store is located within our thriving campus in Bath. We are continually growing in success and currently serve in excess of 22,000 customers per week during term time.

This position is a full time post for 36.5 hours per week working 5 days out of 7. You must be flexible to work a variety of shifts between 6am to 11:30pm including weekends.
