Supporter Events Officer

About the role

The Supporter Events Officer role is an exciting and varied role within the Advancement Office. The post-holder will manage, implement and coordinate a comprehensive and innovative programme of alumni engagement, cultivation, stakeholder and donor relations events targeted to meet departmental engagement objectives and deliver on philanthropic priorities. We are seeking someone who is experienced in strategic, bespoke event delivery and confident in managing events from conception to delivery.

About The Advancement Office

The Advancement Office is responsible for building long-term, impactful relationships with the University’s alumni, friends and supporters.  We support a network of over 150,000 University of Bath alumni across 170 countries, as well as our wider community of supporters who generously give their time, expertise and philanthropy to the University.

Philanthropy is one of the main aspects of our work and donations are vital. They transform students’ lives through removing barriers to education, and advance important research in areas such as sustainability, health and wellbeing, and digital. We are pleased that 100% of every donation goes to the people and projects for which it is intended.

Beyond Philanthropy we have an active programme of activity to engage our community of alumni and supporters, helping keep them informed of the latest University news and events, providing unique benefits and services, and connecting business contacts or reuniting classmates.

The Department has a strong culture of collaboration and works closely with colleagues across the University, including Professional Services and the academic community to support the strategic priorities of the University.  We aim to be collaborative, ambitious, inspirational, agile and respectful as we support delivery of the University strategy, and  we encourage all team members to embed these values in their day-to-day work.
