About the role
We’re looking for a Social Media Assistant to join our School of Management Marketing Team. You’ll work with our Social Media Manager to plan, deliver and evaluate high-quality social media communications. You’ll focus on sourcing, commissioning, curating and planning social media content for our channels:
Using our brand and tone of voice, and your expertise in social media, you’ll build on our social media strategy to help us:
- improve our external reputation, a key part of the School’s strategy
- drive user engagement and build a community of followers
- keep up with the latest trends in social media
- build interest as we launch new courses and explore new international recruitment markets.
We’re a supportive and collaborative team, with a culture of experimentation and personal development. You’ll have experience producing, curating and managing content for social media platforms.
You will also have:
- a good first degree or relevant equivalent qualifications
- experience of successful social media planning, implementation and evaluation
- experience creating social media content including video, graphics and copy
- expertise in creating analytics reports to measure success
- excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience using software and tools for professional social media management like Sprout Social and Canva would be an advantage.
To really succeed in this role, you’ll need to have amazing people skills and be able to work well with academics, professional staff, students and alumni. You’ll also need to bring innovative ideas that can help us compete for the attention of the best potential students.
