We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced and motivated individual to join our Faculty professional services team and play a vital role in supporting the coordination of the Faculty’s suite of Masters in Research (MRes) programmes across our six Departments. Working in conjunction with other administrators, Directors of Studies, the MRes Programme Director, the Doctoral College and external partners, you will ensure the smooth and efficient administration of the programmes. This will include developing common systems and processes standardised on best practice, ensuring that University regulations and procedures are adhered to, as well as seeking enhancements and efficiencies where feasible.

Working closely with the Programmes Managers, you will also lead and deliver on faculty-wide projects, taking responsibility for managing specific projects and functional areas.

This is a busy and varied role involving daily communication with professional services and academic staff and students. You will need to have excellent organisational skills, the ability to work independently, a good use of initiative, a good understanding of programme administration and the ability to multi-task and prioritise. You will have a flexible approach to changing demands.  For more information about the faculty click here.

We offer a competitive rate of pay, generous pension scheme, 26 days of annual leave per year, as well as eight bank holidays and five extra discretionary days.

This is a part time role requiring 18 hours and 15 minutes a week. This is offered on a fixed-term basis covering maternity leave from March 2020 until November 2020 (or the early return of the postholder). Due to operational activities the working pattern for this post should be spread evenly across 3-4 working days.
