The Library at the University of Bath is seeking a graduate interested in pursuing a library / information career for their vacancy of Graduate Trainee Library Assistant.

This is a full-time, fixed-term post (1st September 2019 to 31st August 2020) based primarily in the Library’s Acquisitions and Copy and Print sections.  Additional experience will also be gained across any of the sections within the Technical Services Department of the Library (InterlibraryLoans and Document Delivery, Electronic Resources, Periodicals and Cataloguing and Metadata).

There will be the opportunity to engage fully with Library-staff development events and training and learn about the work of the Library service as a whole. Membership of the Library's Staff Development Group and the Library Engagement Group are also offered.

There is an expectation that the postholder will work towards Certification with CILIP (Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals) during their tenure.  This Certification is recognised by the post-nominals ACLIP.
