We are seeking a highly motivated Research Assistant to join a Global Challenge Research Fund (GCRF) funded project to work on gender inequalities.

The post is associated with a project that aims to test whether a novel method may improve gender equality and women’s self-efficacy in Brazil, India, and the UK. Specifically, we want to test whether highlighting similarities (versus differences) between women and men in relevant psychological characteristics such as cognitive abilities and values improves attitudes between men and women and improves women’s self-efficacy.

This research is supported by a grant from the GCRF. The Research Assistant is expected to travel to India and/or Brazil, attend an international conference on continental Europe, and also support the investigators on other research projects.

Candidates should hold a good first degree in psychology or a related subject and enthusiasm for research on this topic. As well as good communication, writing and IT skills you should be professional, well-motivated, and be able to work independently, and part of a collaborative research team. Strong statistical skills are desirable.

If you are unable to travel to Bath then interviews may take place via Skype.
