This is an exciting opportunity for a telephonist / administrator to join our Service Desk team within the University of Bath's Department of Digital, Design and Technology Group on a fixed basis for 6 months.  Part time hours to work job share will be considered.

This role is the first point of contact for the public phoning the University, providing customer focused, friendly assistance by phone and electronic means. Working closely with the Service Desk and Telecoms teams they ensure that phone calls and other communications are handled in a customer friendly and professional manner, collecting appropriate information to hand over the enquiry to the relevant team within the University, whilst ensuring that calls are recorded appropriately in our call management system using clear written communication.

You will be a motivated individual with excellent customer service skills who can learn quickly. Ideally you will have worked in a similar role and a general interest in computing would be beneficial. Training on the administration of our telephony and call logging systems will be provided.

You will be expected to contribute to discussions about improving methods of working, to follow those methods once agreed and to document and maintain those methods so they become knowledge for staff across Digital, Design and Technology Group.
