Within the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences we’re looking for someone to join us as a Digital Communications Officer.

The role:

The role is an exciting opportunity where the right individual can bring their excellent copy-writing skills, creativity and innovation to make a real difference to the engagement we have with our audiences. This could include communications with prospective students and their families, academic staff, researchers or the general public.

You will work closely with our Marketing Officers and wider Faculty to create engaging content, whether that is on the website, email or video and, using your excellent analytical skills, provide valuable insight to the team to enable us to improve with each activity ensuring that we’re giving our audience what they want. You will be process driven, with excellent attention to detail.

You’ll work on both Faculty wide and University wide projects, collaborating regularly with our central marketing team, recruitment team, press officers and the CRM team. You will become an expert in the CRM system, providing guidance and advice to the team and beyond. You’ll also work closely with the Faculty Web Editor on our CMS to develop exciting and engaging content for the Faculty web pages and really communicate our success stories to both an internal and external audience.

This role is an excellent opportunity for someone who is organised, embraces technology, enjoys working on their own initiative and building strong relationships with colleagues.
