The Department of Education is a thriving and expanding department; it has an international reputation for teaching and research that develops theory, policy and practice  (www.bath.ac.uk/education). The department offers one undergraduate programme (Education with Psychology) as well as a range of postgraduate taught programmes (full-time MA TESOL, full-time MA International Education and Globalisation, full-time Master of Research and part-time MA Education), and postgraduate research programmes (MPhil, PhD and Doctor of Education (EdD)). Students and graduates of these programmes constitute a lively world-wide network of educational professionals working in schools, further and higher education and other governmental and non-governmental organisations.

We are looking for a Senior Teaching Fellow to lead our thriving blended learning programme, MA Education, and potentially the new aligned MA in Educational Leadership and Management.  The programme attracts educational professionals from around the world working at a variety of levels in national and international educational establishments and other organisations.  Further details of the MA Education can be found at http://www.bath.ac.uk/study/pg/programmes/ma-in-educ

We are looking for someone who is qualified to doctoral level with experience of leading teaching programmes and with an interest in research informed teaching and blended learning.  It would also be helpful if they had some practitioner experience of leadership in the education sector.  We will also consider candidates whose research interests connect with specialisms in the Department that are relevant to the MA Education: international schooling; internationalisation and globalisation of education; learning and teaching; educational inequalities, diversity and social justice in schools; innovative methodologies; and, higher education.

This is an open-ended, full-time post (36.5 hours per week) and could be available as a job share.
