Research Officer - Catalysis in Confined Environments - fixed term 5 years

The University of Bath is seeking to appoint an exceptionally motivated and qualified individual as part of the new EPSRC UK Catalysis Hub, conducting research into Catalysis in Confined Environments.

The successful candidate will play a major role in the multidisciplinary research conducted by the Hub and will have the opportunity to contribute to a number of projects during the research period.

This is a 5-year appointment funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) who are investing £12.9 million in the UK Catalysis Hub, a UK-wide research programme into catalytic science, involving over 30 Universities throughout the UK.

Key Requirements

Successful applicants will be able to demonstrate recent relevant experience in Homogeneous catalysis and Organometallic chemistry. Experience of Inorganic and hybrid material synthesis and characterisation and/or Mechanism and kinetics of metal-catalysed chemical transformations would be an advantage. The appointees will have a PhD degree or equivalent in an appropriate discipline.
