Sujata McNab Appointed by Council
Will undertake the responsibilities of members of governing bodies as set out in the CUC Guide for Members of Higher Education Governing Bodies in the UK.
Career
Sujata McNab was appointed to Council in October 2020.
Sujata is an experienced executive leader and trustee and has held several portfolio roles covering a broad range of functions including finance, strategy and planning, human resources, technology, governance, estates and major projects. She is currently Chief Operating Officer at the education charity Teach First. Prior to this she was Director of Corporate Services at Crisis UK, and she was previously Executive Director of Finance, Governance and Resources for the UK walking and cycling charity Sustrans. She has also worked in both acute services and commissioning in the NHS, as well as in schools, where she had an instrumental role in establishing and growing one of the country's first multi-academy trusts.
Sujata is a trustee and Chair of the Audit Committee at We The Curious, the science centre in Bristol, and is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
Sujata qualified as an accountant with PricewaterhouseCoopers and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy. She is a graduate of Cambridge University, where she studied Anglo-Saxon, Norse and Celtic.
Sujata lives in the east of Bath, with her partner and their two young daughters.
