Steve O'Donoghue Appointed Member
Will undertake the responsibilities of members of governing bodies as set out in the CUC Guide for Members of Higher Education Governing Bodies in the UK.
Steve O’Donoghue is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy with extensive experience in financial and corporate governance, risk management and strategic HR.
Steve is the Director of Finance & HR at the Wales Audit Office since 2014 and was previously Head of Resources at the National Assembly for Wales Commission for eight years. Prior to that, he spent 15 years working in finance roles in local government, including Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority.
Steve studied for the CIPFA professional qualification at the then University of Glamorgan, under his employer’s staff development programme. He’s been an active CIPFA Wales volunteer, was the inaugural regional President for Wales (2011-13) and has served on CIPFA Council and its Audit Committee.
