Dr Andrew Pennycott Automotive Development Engineer
Andrew Pennycott has the role of Automotive Development Engineer within IAAPS at the University of Bath.
Andrew's research focuses on control, modelling and estimation methods for internal combustion engines, as well as turbocharging and emissions control technology. His research roles have had a strong emphasis on collaboration with industry.
Andrew also works as part of the IAAPS Industrial Engagement team where he fosters a collaborative environment between researchers and industry.
With experience in engineering consultancy and software development in industry, Andrew has held both R&D and project management roles. He has expertise in control design, model development, simulation methods, testing, data analysis and programming.
Andrew received his MEng and PhD degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Glasgow in 2004 and 2008, respectively.
