Saiyada Fazal Careers Adviser

One-to-one careers advice appointments, group workshops and skills training. Lead adviser for the Faculty of Science.

Role

  • I help my clients figure out the things they really want to do, then help them get from where they are now to where they want to be - much quicker and more effectively than working alone.
  • As the lead adviser for the Faculty of Science, talk to me about your career options, further study (including PhDs) and I can support you in making a transition from science into other industries.
  • I also support our graduates whether they’re still job hunting or are considering how to progress and grow in their careers.

Career

I joined Bath, having worked as a Careers Adviser at UCL. I also worked within the University of London’s C2 Education Unit, delivering outplacement and careers support to Professional Bodies and Higher Education Institutions. More recently, I headed up the C2 Education and managed the careers provision for seven University of London Institutions, including Birkbeck, The Institute of Education (now part of UCL) and The Royal Veterinary College (RVC).

Originally from Tanzania, I came to the UK as an international student and began my graduate career in Advertising, delivering campaigns for clients in the retail and FMCG sectors. I have two cats; I love cooking and gardening, and I volunteer as a magistrate.
