Dr Jane White Chair of Academic Assembly
Will undertake the responsibilities of members of governing bodies as set out in the CUC Guide for Members of Higher Education Governing Bodies in the UK.
Dr Jane White was elected Chair of Academic Assembly from 1 August 2018 for 3 years.
Jane White joined the University in 1997, and is currently a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Mathematical Sciences. She is the founding Director of MASH, the Mathematics Resources Centre, which for 10 years under Jane's successful leadership, saw MASH develop and become embedded in the institutional academic skills provision.
Jane is an applied mathematician developing and analysing mathematical models to address problems arising in the healthcare arena. Specifically, her current research focuses in two areas: control of infectious diseases; and drug monitoring and delivery particularly across the skin barrier.
