Phillippa Lowton Change Manager

Phillippa has spent the last 6 years managing complex organisational wide change projects. She has now joined the new the Strategic Project Office in a role focusing on the people side of projects and change initiatives. Phillippa employs her health behaviour change knowledge to explore the challenges in changing working behaviours and practices. She enjoy an interactive style of coaching, having fun with post it notes, using creative means to help coachees unlock their potential.

Phillippa has always been interested in personal development. Her early career saw a move from Health centre management into work based training. From there she progressed into teaching within both FE and HE sectors. Phillippa first joined the University as a Teaching and Coaching Fellow within the Sports Development & Recreation Department. She later moved into academic management, before finding her true home in process improvement and projects. This experience has taught her that people hold the key to growth, and that asking questions with curiosity can facilitate development for both the individual and organisation.
Phillippa is working towards completing an ILM Level 5 Coaching qualification and has experience in coaching University staff in: dealing with and managing change, workplace challenges, projects and new ways of working.
Phillippa is a qualified hockey coach and enjoys helping young people develop their interpersonal and transferable skills through the sporting environment. She is currently a mentor with the Young Carers Development Trust.
