Zoe Anchors SWC Department of Health Research Assistant

Staff Wellbeing Champion

I have been a Research Assistant in the Department of Health for the last four years involved in researching wellbeing and mental health in a range of high-pressure fields and within the community. I am particularly interested in the evaluation of health and wellbeing interventions.

Wellbeing Statement

Working conditions and environment can have a significant impact on wellbeing and, equally, someone’s mental health can have a huge impact on job performance. Promoting wellbeing can help prevent stress and create positive working environments where individuals can thrive. I believe a conversation followed by signposting and support can make a big difference for someone suffering with poor mental health.

I love hiking by the ocean and always have a book on the go. I have had to adapt to my sons’ love of football but pleased they also follow the rugby. Yoga is my go to when in need of relaxation. I crave Vietnamese food but still haven’t mastered it in the kitchen.
