Catherine Knocks Employer Services Manager (Careers Service)
Catherine manages the Employer Services Team to co-ordinate University-wide employer engagement opportunities.
Catherine leads the Employer Services Team in the Careers Service, which organises and facilitates opportunities for recruiting organisations and current students to come together. Her role includes maintaining relationships across the University and beyond to ensure we are meeting the needs of the student body and recruiting employers.
The Employer Services team plan an extensive programme of employer activities, workshops, skills sessions and careers fairs which enable students to understand and inform their future career options and for employers to identify and engage with future talent. The specialist Recruit@Bath platform allows recruiting employers to post free job vacancies, receive updates and information from the Careers Service and book to attend events.
After completing her qualifications Catherine started her career by working as a careers adviser and youth worker for 13-19 year-olds. She was then promoted to a managerial role in the Local Authority with responsibility for youth support services, before moving into further education becoming the Strategic Lead for School Partnership and Student Progression at Weston College. Catherine moved to City of Bristol College to take up the position of Marketing Manager and eventually joined the University of Bath in April 2017.
Catherine graduated with a Bachelor of Arts(Hons) in Public Relations and English Language from the University of Exeter and later completed a Post-Graduate Diploma in Careers Advice and Guidance at the University of the West of England (Bristol).
