I have been at the University for 8 years and have often been first point of contact for students undergoing complex wellbeing situations so am comfortable with anything you would like to speak about. Previously I was a youth worker working in Bristol. I attended training from Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) England and taken active listening and communication courses.
Having a healthy mind is as important as a healthy body. Work life, home life, emotional and social factors as well as health issues can have a massive impact on your health and wellbeing. Most people go through periods of time where their mental health and general wellbeing is challenged, remember you are not alone and talking to someone about it is an important first step.
I have dogs and cats, my daughter has taken up riding so I spend my weekends at a smelly old stables but I love being around the horses and animals as this helps my wellbeing.
