Gita Samuelsson IAAPS Finance Lead
Responsible for the IAAPS financial and MI strategies through the development of ERP/MI systems and financial control & reporting functions.
As Finance Lead, Gita is responsible for developing the operational systems, procedures and policies required for the efficient business operation. This includes the implementation of project & financial management systems and the development of the financial control, planning, analysis & reporting capabilities. This ensures the availability of an IAAPS consolidated financial and non-financial report for internal and external stakeholders. She is also responsible for the improvement and execution of the overall IAAPS Operational Budget and Business Plan.
Gita has experience working on various major projects with values of up to billions of pounds, where she has successfully led the budget and forecast activities, audit preparation and financial management, delivered the commercial due diligence, tendering and project/contract management, project accounting activities and managed the day to day of a finance function. With over 15 years’ experience in Australia and the UK working in private and public sectors including some highly regulated, engineering & defence industries, she is bringing commercial and financial best practices to IAAPS, safeguarding the delivery of financial and non-financial targets of University of Bath through a strategically balanced private-public IAAPS' business model.
Gita has degrees in Economics (Major in Finance), Commerce, Accountancy and a Master of Business in Information Systems. She joined the UK Association of Chartered Certified Accountant in 2015.
