Lea Patch International Mobility Coordinator (Outgoing)

Lea is responsible for queries relating to outgoing exchange students.

Role

Lea is responsible for coordinating and administering all aspects of outgoing study abroad activity, particularly payment of Erasmus+ grants.

The collective priorities for the International Relations Office are:

  • identifying our external and internal relationships to aid our collaborative working in order to grow our international reputation
  • providing excellent customer service - student experience being at the heart of what we do
  • showcasing the outputs of the International Relations Office

Career

Lea began her professional career as an Assistant Program Officer at an international exchange organization in Washington D.C. Since then, she has held a number of professional roles. Lea was an English teacher in South Korea, and then returned to the U.S. and worked as a Program Coordinator for a non-profit in Washington D.C. She returned to working with international students as a youth development volunteer with the Peace Corps in North Macedonia. Moving to New York City, Lea continued her work in youth development as a Coordinator at a non-profit. Lea joined the University of Bath and the IRO to return to her love of working in the field of international education.

Education

Lea has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Maryland in the United States and is TEFL certified. She is currently pursuing her Master of Arts degree in International Education and Globalisation at the University of Bath.
