Rockhill Tembi Focho International Mobility Coordinator (Outgoing)

Rockhill is responsible for queries relating to outgoing exchange students, particularly Erasmus+ mobility funding.

Role

Rockhill is responsible for coordinating and administering all aspects of outgoing study abroad activity particularly payment of Erasmus+ grants. Since joining the University in October 2019, Rockhill has focused on providing excellent, professional and efficient support to students and staff in all aspects of the University’s study abroad and exchange activities.

The collective priorities for the International Relations Office are:

  • identifying our external and internal relationships to aid our collaborative working in order to grow our international reputation
  • providing excellent customer service - student experience being at the heart of what we do
  • showcasing the outputs of the International Relations Office

Career

Rockhill began his professional career as a News Presenter and broadcast journalist at Radio Télévision Siantou in Yaounde, Cameroon from where he was sponsored by the Israeli government to attend an international training programme on Media and Civil Society in Israel. He worked for 4 years as Public and Alumni Relations Administrator at the University of Buea in Cameroon from where he was awarded the British Foreign & Commonwealth/Chevening full Scholarship to undertake a master’s programme in Public Relations and Public Communications at the University of Westminster. From 2008 to 2014, he worked as the Study Abroad Advisor at Regent’s University London where he was responsible for all aspects of study abroad and international mobility. Rockhill joined the University of Bath in October 2019, and was awarded a staff recognition award in 2020 for his hard work and extraordinary effort in putting the students at the heart of everything he does.

Education

Rockhill has an undergraduate degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from the University of Buea in Cameroon. He also holds two masters degrees - an MA in Public Communications and Public Relations from the University of Westminster and an MSc in Human Resource Management from Edinburgh Napier University.
