She also works to promote study abroad and short-term mobilities within the University community.
The collective priorities for the International Relations Office are:
- identifying our external and internal relationships to aid our collaborative working in order to grow our international reputation
- providing excellent customer service - student experience being at the heart of what we do
- showcasing the outputs of the International Relations Office
Michele started her career path in tourism. Having moved to Menorca in 1986, she spent the next 25 years working in tourism and teaching English to adults and children. In 2011, she returned to the UK and, following a series of jobs in customer service, moved into education in 2015. Her first role in education was as Faculty Administrator for English, Business and Modern Languages, which gave a great insight into further education and related policy as well as getting involved with the students on a pastoral level. She joined the University of Bath in 2017 as part of the IRO, attracted by the prospect of working with international mobility and promoting study abroad, which she feels is an important part to every student’s personal and academic journey.
