Aino Koivisto International Relations Communications Coordinator
Aino supports the International Relations Office's communications and promotional activity for both internal and external audiences.
As communications coordinator, Aino works with the team to develop and create materials and campaigns for internal and external audiences to support the work of the International Relations Office.
The collective priorities for the International Relations Office are:
- identifying our external and internal relationships to aid our collaborative working in order to grow our international reputation
- providing excellent customer service - student experience being at the heart of what we do
- showcasing the outputs of the International Relations Office
Aino started her career in translation, working as a Translator Intern for the University of Turku Communications Department and International Office in Finland. After graduating, she worked as a translator before gradually shifting to communications through a role that combined both translation and web content creation. She then worked in communications officer roles in Finland before moving to Bath. Before joining the International Relations Office, she held the position of Internal Communications Officer at the University.
Aino holds a Master of Arts degree in English translation studies from the University of Turku in Finland. As minor subjects, she studied French and Italian translation studies. She also spent one semester at the University of Worcester as an Erasmus exchange student, studying creative writing and English literature.
