Dr Johanna Meyer IPR Policy Engagement Manager
Johanna oversees the Institute for Policy Research (IPR) Policy Fellowship Programme and supports the development of the Bath Policy Engagement Academy.

Johanna's responsibilities include:
- managing the IPR Policy Fellowship Programme
- designing and establishing new Policy Fellowship Programme streams
- managing the IPR Policy Alumni network
- producing policy guides and resources
- supporting the Bath Policy Engagement Academy
Career
Before joining the IPR, Johanna worked as a postdoctoral researcher on meta-research and higher education policy. She obtained a PhD in psychology from the University of Bath in 2024 investigating Covid-19 news maps, engagement with Covid-19 maps, and discourses around disease map use. She has also contributed to research projects on diversity initiatives, qualitative data in Open Science, public engagement with climate change, and clinical and health psychology. She holds an MSc in Cognition in Science and Society from the University of Edinburgh and an MA (Hons) in Psychology and Linguistics, also from Edinburgh.
