Claudia Gumm Research Development Manager

Claudia supports academics in their research ambitions through expert funding advice, strategic planning and developing high-quality funding proposals.

Role

Claudia is the Research Development Manager for European and International Funding, in Research and Innovation Services (RIS).

Her work includes identifying opportunities and developing high-quality research proposals relevant to:

  • European and International funders
  • UKRI funded international research projects

As part of the Research Grant Development team, Claudia facilitates workshops and provides skills training for improving grant proposal outcomes.

Career

Claudia joined the University of Bath in 2014. She worked as a Pre-Award Development Officer before being seconded to the GW4 Alliance in 2018, to work as a Developing People Manager. Before joining Bath, Claudia worked at University of East Anglia. She had previously worked in the Further Education sector as a Project Officer for the National Institute of Adult Continuing Education.

Education

Claudia has a Masters in Human Relations from the University of Nottingham, and a Masters in Educational Sciences, Psychology and Communicational Sciences from the Free University of Berlin.
