Becky supports academics in their research ambitions through expert funding advice, strategic planning and developing high-quality funding proposals.
Becky is Research Development Manager for engineering and the physical sciences in Research and Innovation Services (RIS).
Her work includes identifying opportunities and developing high-quality research proposals relevant to the:
- Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC)
- Royal Academy of Engineering (RAEng)
- Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC)
- Royal Society
As part of the Research Grant Development team, Becky facilitates workshops and provides skills training for improving grant proposal outcomes.
Becky has six years of experience working for the Research Councils. She has worked on various portfolios at the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) and the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC), including Sensors and Instrumentation, Synthetic Biology, Photonics, Impact Strategy, Carbon Capture and Storage, and Longitudinal Studies.
Becky has a Masters’ degree and PhD in Chemistry from the University of Southampton.
