Emma Ford Research Manager, Department of Social & Policy Sciences
Emma is responsible providing research support across the department, including project support, event management, communications and public engagement.
Emma has recently taken over as Research Manager for the Department of Social & Policy Sciences.
She supports researchers with preparing research proposals, drafting budgets and identifying potential funding opportunities. She also organises and supports departmental research events. Working with all three Centre Directors, she is responsible for promoting the work of the Centre for Death & Society, the Centre for Development Studies and the Centre for the Analysis of Social Policy and encouraging collaborative research across the department.
Prior to working at the University Emma has enjoyed a varied career running her own business, fundraising and working in communications and marketing posts.
Emma has an MSc in International Development and a BA in War Studies from King's College, London.
