Jade Whymark Western Outreach Network (WON) Coordinator
Jade is responsible for coordinating the Western Outreach Network to promote all routes of Higher Education to pupils in schools.
As the coordinator of the Western Outreach Network (WON) single point of contact, Jade is responsible for providing schools and colleges with information about the outreach activities and resources available to them and providing the link between higher education institutions, schools and other stakeholders.
The Western Outreach Network (WON) is a partnership of eight universities and HE colleges working with schools in the west of England. The network focuses on raising awareness of all Higher Education progression routes by improving access to local outreach activities, providing support to teachers and career advisors in schools and by running free sessions in schools to ensure that all pupils have the chance to learn about Higher Education.
Jade has worked in a variety of Higher Education departments across the UK and Ireland, including coordinating the work of the Widening Participation and Outreach team at Goldsmiths, University of London. With a background in music, Jade has previously founded an educational opera company and worked on several projects to bring music to a wider audience.
