Moral decisions in VR

We explore how bodily experiences influence moral decision-making.

We're using psychological and physiological measures to better understand the links between bodily experiences and moral decisions.

We are investigating whether our perception of visceral sensations inside the body (such as heartbeats, or stomach sensations) influences how we respond to hypothetical moral dilemmas. We are exploring this question using text-based versions of moral dilemmas, and more immersive moral dilemma scenarios in Virtual Reality (VR). A range of psychological and physiological measures are being implemented across the studies to better understand the links between our bodily experiences and our moral decisions.
