Food Safety Policy
This policy describes our arrangements for managing food safety requirements.
The University's Food Safety Policy applies to all food handling activities undertaken by, or on behalf of the University, including by the Student Union, student groups and societies, the Chaplaincy, and contractors working in support of the University. Food that is provided for consumption in relation to research activities is also covered by this policy.
This will include events, including departmental events, private University functions, farmers markets and other similar activities where food is provided on University of Bath owned or managed premises.
The policy also describes the minimum standards that people organising external events should consider when booking venues where food is provided.
The policy was agreed at the June 2022 meeting of University Health and Safety Committee. The next review will take place before end of June 2024.
