MC² Application notes on polymer characterisation

Learn the methods used in MC² to determine the molecular mass distribution and to detect glass transitions in polymers.

Molecular mass distribution of polymers is determined using Size Exclusion Chromatography (SEC), formerly referred to as Gel Permeation Chromatography (GPC), as well as MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry. Glass transitions are detected using Dynamic Mechanical Analysis (DMA) and Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC), both on polymer powders and films.
