Increasing awareness and publicity about adult ADHD has led to a significant increase in the number of people seeking assessment and diagnosis for the condition. ADHD can have a significant impact on people’s lives, not least for those in the student community. People with ADHD can experience significant disruption at times due to difficulties maintaining attention on tasks, making impulsive decisions, and difficulties with keeping organised.

The Disability Service is offering an information session (on Teams) for students interested in finding out more about ADHD symptoms and the options for assessment and diagnosis. This is suitable for those who think they might have ADHD but have been unsure about approaching anyone to discuss this. This information session will cover the symptoms of ADHD, the options for assessment and diagnosis, and the potential support available for students with and without a diagnosis. There will be an opportunity for Q&A.

The session is taking place on 31 October at 12.15pm
