Our graduates may have left the University, but they remain part of the Bath community as they go on to flourish in careers across the globe. An increasing number are offering their time and expertise to our students via Bath Connection, which reached a milestone of 1,500 alumni mentors this month.

Bath Connection is the University’s online networking and mentoring platform. It enables students and graduates to create a profile and start messaging one another through the platform – filtering by country, industry, company or subject studied.

Alumni mentors indicate on their profile how they can help – from answering queries over email or telephone, through to reviewing job applications or even meeting in person for a chat over coffee.

Mentors have offered advice on topics such as placement years, tailoring CVs to particular employers or even the logistics of relocating to other countries.

“Every interaction I’ve had on Bath Connection has been positive,” says second-year BSc Sociology and Social Policy student Tianna Reeve. “I can’t praise the alumni volunteers enough for all the advice, answers and thoughtful comments they’ve given to help me make some important decisions about my future.”

Please help us spread the word about Bath Connection and encourage students to sign up and start building their network.
